Town’s people born before 1977 will have vaccination facilities almost in their wards on April 4 and 5, said deputy commissioner Palamu, Shashi Ranjan.

Ranjan said it is a big offer to people and they should take the best of it.

He asked the health and municipal corporation officials to have the vaccination session site inside the ward and not right on the road.

Daltonganj has 35 wards which have been divided into 7 zones for vaccination.

While DC Palamau Shashi Ranjan has his focus on the interiors in the wards of the municipal corporation in Daltonganj for Coronavirus vaccination jabs, DDC Palamau S Jamuar asked the officials to make it a surety that no one goes from the vaccination site without the jab as this pales all achievements and efforts into insignificance.

The DC and DDC along with the civil surgeon sat with the ward councillors, business bodies but the mayor Aruna Shanker was not there in this important meeting on the vaccination jab in the urban areas here said sources.

It was deputy mayor Mangal Singh who filled the gap as this man showed enough intentions and determination to make the April 4 and 5 drive a big success in the town and other municipal corporation pockets of this place.

Sources said had mayor Aruna Shanker taken pains and care to take part in this meeting today it would have given a push to the vaccination in the municipal corporation areas among the women eligible for the jabs.

Sources said the lady mayor has a good following among the urban women.

DC said vaccination at panchayat level saw 70,000 vaccination in six days and now it is up-to the town’s people to come smartly and overwhelmingly for the vaccination jabs.
