As a part of its continuing effort to promote and inculcate safety consciousness among the plant personnel, the 43rd National Safety week was observed with enthusiasm by IISCO Steel Plant at Dipani Auditorium.
The day also marks the beginning of Safety week which will be observed from 4 to 10 March 2014. CEO N Kothari graced the occasion as Chief Guest. I C Sahu ED (Works), Sudhir Kumar ED (F&A), A K Das GM (P&A) and Ramgopal GM (Services & I/c Safety), graced the occasion as dignitaries among others. The dignitaries also distributed prizes among the winners of Safety slogans and safety essay. The Blast Furnace, Merchant Mill, CCMD, Civil Maintenance and Town Civil were also awarded on this occasion for best housekeeping practices. In addition prizes were distributed for best safety slogan and best essay on safety.
