SDO Rajeev Ranjan seized a truck loaded with of 400 bags of PDS rice from NH 33 near Kargil Petrol Pump. The truck was going to a rice mill of Demotand of Hazaribagh for black marketing. The driver and cleaner of the truck have been arrested on spot and a case has been registered in Sadar police station.
Sadar SDO Rajeev Ranjan said that he has got anonymous tip off that some persons are loading PDS rice on a truck for black marketing and after sometimes this truck will go to a rice mill situated at Demotand. After getting this information he took the marketing officers of Hazaribagh and Katkamsandi and some policemen and rushed to Kargil Petrol Pump.
When the team reached they found a truck is standing on road side. When the team started searching truck, driver Satish Kumar Yadav of Nawada, Bihar and cleaner Mukesh Kumar tried to run away. The team members caught them. The team members seized the truck and 400 bags of rice loaded on it.
After investigation it was found that the truck was loaded from a godown near Panchmandir which is of a local businessman named Arun Kumar Sao.
The owner of this truck having number BR 27A 8917 is Renu Singh, wife of Sanjay Singh, of Nawada, Bihar.
On the direction of SDO Rajeev Ranjan the marketing officers of Hazaribagh and Katkamsandi has registered a case in sadar police station. The godown owner Arun Kumar Sao, truck owner Renu Singh, Driver and assistant driver have been made named accused in this case. Police has taken driver and cleaner into custody and now they will start operation to arrest the truck owner and godown owner.
