Under the Gondalpura mining project, Adani Foundation organized a free eye check-up camp at Harli Panchayat Bhavan on 17th June. In this camp, 39 patients, including men and women, were facing problems. Hazaribagh's ophthalmologist, Dr. Parimal Piyush examined their eyes and advised them to wear glasses of proper power, after which glasses were provided to all the patients in Panchayat Bhawan by the Adani Foundation on Tuesday. The villagers' faces lit up after getting free glasses. The villagers said that they have got a new vision due to the efforts of the Adani Foundation.
The benefited villagers, including Kewal Mahto, Omprakash Kumar, Ramdeshi Mahto and Tara Devi among others, said that earlier they had to go to Hazaribagh to get their eyes checked. They had to go there and get the doctor's number by paying fees. Now, with the help of the Adani Foundation, the doctor's examination was done while sitting at home and the spectacles also came to the village.
