In exactly one week from the night when there was a shoot out case in which a tailor Touheed Alam was fired at on August 17 town police cracked the case and caught and sent up three people in judicial remand today August 25.
Among the three jailed today is the wife of the victim cum survivor tailor Alam, Gausia Perween.
She came in the burqa but was spared standing before the crew of the mediapersons as SP said "Bringing in woman in the glare of the media has had a devastating impact on the psychology of woman and hence I disallow woman accused to rub shoulders with the male accused in such press briefing."
The other Irshad is also the nephew of the victim cum survivor tailor. One is the outsider Md Arzu. It was a family coup that fell under its own weight. Even a 3.50 lakh worth single shot Supari fell short of killing the tailor except injuring him, said the police.
Sources said the town police led by its officer in charge Abhay Kumar Sinha and his team cracked this case in a very professional manner as the victim cum survivor Alam was very guarded in his version and was slow in giving details of the bid on his life.
SP Chandan Kumar Sinha had also told the mediapersons that the victim cum survivor tailor was concealing and concealing more than revealing and that made the town police zero in on the family and finally Abhay Kumar Sinha and his team unfolded the case which turned out to be a case of dark suspicion of infidelity on the part of the wife of the tailor, a youth Irshad at the centre of the illicit relation, intent of revenge for humiliation and insult always heaped upon the wife Gausia Perween and Irshad by the tailor. He said police are on the look out for two prime accused Betab and Manjar who are in hiding.
Police are also searching for the weapon used in crime.
Contract worth 3.50 lakh was paid by Irshad to the trio Betab, Manjar and Arzu to bump off the tailor.
And here the tailor's wife Gausia Perween had her silent but affirmative approval for the crime to be committed and that landed her in the judicial remand today.
SP Palamu Chandan Kumar Sinha said police do not find Gausia Perween any active player in the crime nevertheless she also did not do anything to avert this crime.
On being asked as to under what section Gausia Perween is booked pat came the reply of the SP "It is 120 (b) of the IPC."
Countered by this correspondent that the SP has himself said to the media that Gausia Perween is not a conspirator in its real sense, to which SP used another term for her saying "This woman did abetment to the crime."
Gausia Perween has two children but none of the two any breast feeding one and so her kids will not be with their mother in the central jail Daltonganj.
Sources said the case has come as shock to the Muslim Samaj here since here in Daltonganj there is a fairly large population of Muslim tailors and when wife and youth kin to each other are found involved in the crime the Samaj is stunned also.
