The ground is under control of the police while deployment of forces still continues in the area.

“Three FIRs have been lodged in the case. GSGNSS has named 10 persons, while BMBSS has named 14 persons in it. Police has also lodged one FIR against 250 unknown persons after ASI Pushkar Singh got injured during the clash,” said Officer in Charge of Sukhdeo Nagar police station.

Meanwhile, police is investigating the case to establish charges leveled against the accused persons.

“Police are investigating the case and trying to establish charges leveled against accused persons. As soon as the charges are established, action will be taken against them immediately,” said the City DSP.

GSGNSS, on the other hand, organizing a press conference at Ratu Road Gurudwara on Wednesday, demanded immediate arresting of the culprits within 24 hour or they will chalk out further strategy in this regard. GSGNSS Secretary Ram Krishna Midha reiterated that the land belongs to them as it was registered in the year 1995 after they signed an agreement with Birla Group in1974.

“There is a proposal to construct a school on the land to be used by everyone living in the area. It will left open for all after the school hours,” said Midha. The claim made by the opposite party on the land is completely illegal, he added.

Referring to the clash which took place on Tuesday, Midha claimed it a failure of administration that had been informed about the ‘kar seva’. The police should have taken preventive measures to check such incident, he added.

Claim over Birla Maidan had triggered a clash between the two groups when members of ‘Gurudwara Sri Guru Nanak Satsang Sabha’ (GSGNSS), in a group of about 250 people, were heading towards it to put a boundary wall through ‘Kar Seva’ (Public Service) on Tuesday. As soon as they reached near the ground, hundreds of unidentified locals started pelting stones leaving more than 50 people injured from both sides.
