Three children of BSF jawans drowned to death in the Rehda dam of Meru village of Sadar block of the district. All the three children were identified as sons of BSF jawans. The rescue team recovered the bodies of kids on Sunday late evening. Later, those were sent to Sadar hospital for postmortem.
As the news spread around the adjacent areas of the incident, the villagers gathered around the dam and pulled out two children out of three from the water. When they were unable to recover the third body, BSF officials sent a rescue team to the spot. After long and continuous efforts of the rescue team the third body was recovered in the late evening.
Locals said that five boys had gone to the dam to take a bath. Three boys jumped into the water. When they did not come out of the water, the two boys reached their guardians and informed them about the incident.
The children who died included Anshu Raj, aged 13 years, Devesh Kumar ,aged 16 years and Raghu Rajak, aged 13 years..
The bodies of the children were handed over to their parents after postmortem.
