News reading competition by UCO Bank
The Rajbhasha execution committee of UCO Bank today organised a news reading competition here on Monday inaugurated by Deputy Circle Head AA Odeya, who stressed that UCO Bank has been leading in organising such events for increasing use of Hindi in banking works. The jury comprises HoD of Hindi at St Xavier’s College, KK Bose and Poonam Kerketta of Akashwani, Ranchi. Shilpa Mishra of Dena Bank, Pawan Minz of PNB, Gautam Harsh of Canara Bank, Sudhir Garg of Allahabad Bank, Kumar Ranjan of SBI got first, second, third, first consolation and second consolation prizes respectively.
National Cricket league
The 4th day of the Taurian World School National Cricket league was thrilling. The auspicious day of Basant Panchami became more propitious when the school had Arun Kumar (IAS), Principal Secretary - Urban Development and President Jharkhand Golf Club as the Guest of Honour along with other members of the Jharkhand Golf Association Rohit Modi, Balkar Singh Namdari, Sumit Kakkal & Ratin Bhadra.
ICFAI celebrates Basant Panchami
ICFAI University Jharkhand celebrated Saraswati Puja in its Daladali Campus wherein all the employees and students of the University along with the Registrar, Dr. B M Singh offered Puja to Goddess Saraswati. While sitting on Puja, the Registrar, Dr. B M Singh prayed before Maa Saraswati for bestowing peace, prosperity, and intellect on all the students of the University.

The Essar Group appointed of Kaustubh Sonalkar as President-HR, and Chief Executive Officer–Essar Foundation, effective from 10 January 2018. Kaustubh holds a bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Mumbai and has a master’s degree in Personnel Management from the University of Pune (HR & Behavioural Sciences).
He also has an MSc from the london School of Economics. Additionally, he is a Chartered Fellow of CIPD (United Kingdom) and Chartered Fellow of CPHR (Australia).
