ABVP protests against ‘arbitrariness’ of RU
Members associated with Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) sat on protest on Monday near Ranchi College against the arbitrariness of Ranchi University (RU). The members of the student union wing are of the opinion that the varsity officials are intentionally handing over some important tasks to the private agency. According to the members, the outsourcing tasks will hamper the functioning of this university to a large extent. “The work of admission, examination and certification will now be done through a private agency. The decision taken by the university will eventually increase the financial burden on the students as the varsity will charge hefty amount for providing all these services. Even after consulting the university Vice-Chancellor on the issue, he just said that it is the decision of Department of Higher and Technical Education to appoint private agency,” said, ABVP Convener, Atal Pandey.
