Guv celebrates Christmas
Dr. Syed Ahmed, Governor of Jharkhand, celebrated Christmas with children of Cheshire Home in Raj Bhawan on Wednesday. He wished peace and prosperity for everyone and promised to work towards attaining it. For the children he said to never get disheartened just because of some physical disabilities, but realize your inner potential and work hard in nurturing it. The kids sang Christmas carols and enjoyed every bit of the moment.
Rai congratulates Modi
State BJP President Ravindra Kumar Rai has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the decision taken by the government of India to felicitate former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpai and freedom fighter Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya with ‘Bharat Ratna.’ Rai, directing the party workers to observe ‘sushashan diwas’ at the district and block level also said that fruits and sweets will be distributed among the disabled people on December 25 to mark the occasion.
MTI Team runners up at National HR Quiz
The team of Srimant Kumar Mallick and Daisy Mala Hembrom emerged as 2ndRunners–Up in the Final round of National HR Quiz @SHAKTI organized by All India management Association (AIMA). The competition was held at New Delhi on December 20. The duo had earlier won the East Zone round and had qualified to represent the East Zone in the National Final of SHAKTI. The areas covered in the quiz were recent/emerging trends in management, HR related topics, laws and Acts, business/management concepts, business personalities, advertisements, current business events.
Shahadat week in Gurunanak School
A special assembly was conducted in Gurunanak Higher Secondary School on Wednesday to mark the martyrdom of the Chaar Sahibzaade. The Sikh society will observe Shahadat week from December 21 to 28. Principal Manohar lal addressed the students and wished them well for the coming New Year. Harminder Bir Singh also felicitated the students who won accolades for the school in yoga championship organized by Union Club and library, Ranchi.
CBI celebrates 104th Foundation Day
Central Bank of India celebrated its 104th Foundation Day in a grand function with a live musical concert on 21st December at YB Chavan Centre Auditorium at Mumbai. Rajeev Rishi, CM Director in his keynote address expressed the commitment of the Bank to introduce new services for the benefit of customers.
Math exhibition organised at DAV Gumla
DAV Gumla organized a Math exhibition. Principal D K Mahto inaugurated the exhibition. Models included divergent pool, math clock, Pascal's Triangle, probability, parabolic bridge, clinometers, Mathematics in Architecture, Math Museum, Tessellation, and sundial among others. Panel of teachers who evaluated and judged the participants were J K Pandey, Abhijit Jha, Robin Adhikari, and Mukhtar Hasan. A total of 63 teams participated consisting students from class nine to eleven.
