Police in Palamu are investigating the murder case of an ex-Maoist.
The ex-Maoist, Vishwanath Singh Kharwar alias Beenu, was killed on Sunday at Kajroo Kalan under Pandu police station.
It was a daylight killing carried out by three persons on a bike, said sources.
The SP of Palamu, Y S Ramesh, said the body of the ex-Maoist was sent for postmortem on Monday. Ramesh said police have begun investigation to find out the motive behind this killing.
An FIR has been lodged with the Pandu police station. There is no arrest so far.
Binu had surrendered in 2010. He was then an area commander of the CPI Maoist.
SP Palamu clarified that police had no information about Binu’s any overture to any naxal group. He outrightly refuted that Binu had any truck with the TPC saying “The police do not know any thing about this”.
Sources said this surrendered ex-Maoist had no political dream like others and as such rivalry could not be the cause behind the murder.
The murder smacked of vendetta. The killer made no mistake and left the place of occurrence ensuring the
ex-Maoist was dead like a stone.
