BOB marks Women’s Day
The Ratu Road branch of Bank of Baroda marked ‘International Women’s Day’ on Saturday. On this occasion Jharkhand Region Deputy GM Anil Kumar was the Chief Guest. Singh briefed on the various ‘banking schemes for women’. 23 women were given loans today which sum around Rs One crore.
Governor holds meeting with HRD dept
Governor Syed Ahmed in a meeting with State HRD department officials on Saturday felt the need of coordination between Education department and State Universities in order to sort out the ongoing problems of the latter. According to Governor this coordination will fasten the required process.
Delhi gets its highest Monumental Flagpole
Naveen Jindal, Member of Parliament and President of the Flag Foundation of India, hoisted the largest flag in the country and highest flagpole in Delhi, measuring 207 ft. in height, at Central Park in Connaught Place today. The monumental flag measures 60 ft. in width and 90 ft. in length and weighs 35 kg. The hoisting of mammoth sized flag at Central Park is part of Flag Foundation of India’s initiative to inspire Indians to take pride in displaying the National Flag and instil sense of nationalism and patriotism among the citizens of the country.
