Panel to be set up for disaster management
lohardaga: A meeting was called by DC SB Barwar on disaster management. It was decided to set up a committee to control the aftermaths of disaster. In the committee the media persons will also be included. The role of the media persons in crisis management is efficient. Apart of this SP, commanding officer CRPF, DDC, AC, Civil Surgeon, DSP special branch, DSP head office, executive officer PHED, REO building division and fire brigade officer are included. In the meeting DC SB Barwar, DDC Jagjeet Sing, SP Sunil Bhaskar, Commandant AC Badri Nath Choubey, SDO Akhouri Shasank Sinha and executive engineer Shashi Bhushan Puran were present. Vinod Prasad
Govt fiat: deo inspects women’s college
lohardaga: District Education Officer Mazid Ahmad inspected Madhusudan lal Agarwal Women’s college. As per the govt order all the colleges getting govt funds are being inspected. This was the first college in this process. The grading will be based upon departmental report. For grades A the colleges will be govt approved, for grade B loss fund and for grade C general funds will be allotted. The DEO took the sought of the number of teaching and non teaching staffs, library, science block, hostel, lab, reserve funds and computers. It was told that the no of students in the college was 1600 and maximum of these belong to rural area. They seemed happy and satisfied with the inspection. The college been affiliated permanently in 2007. Since 1981 to 2006 there had been the graduate courses. During the inspection principal Samima Khatoon, Prof Shikha Singh, Geeta Prasad, Manju Khatri, Rajkishor Prasad and Sneh Kumar, Sashi Gupta and all the staffs were present.
