Drinking water supply assured in 28 villages
lohardaga: Drinking water will be assured in 28 villages in lohardaga under the short rural pipe water supply programme. Under this Rs 5-crore plan, a water collection tank, solar motor pump set and pipeline rainwater harvesting will be ensured, according to drinking water and sanitary department executive engineer Shashi Bhushan Puran.
New SP takes charge
Garhwa: Mayur Patel is the new SP of Garhwa, who said his priority was to continue the good work of his predecessor Michael Raj S. The 2007 batch IPS officer recalled that his first posting was at Bermo as a CDPO. "I will do my best to ensure justice to the people, improvement in the police system, take action against extremists and ensure that developmental work reaches villages," he added.
