MECON completes first green building project
MECON has successfully completed its First Green Building Project- Administrative Building of HPCl Terminal, Ennore, Chennai .The two storied air conditioned modern administrative building spreading approximately in 1000 square metres is designed and constructed for new Green Field Terminal Complex of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation limited at Ennore near Chennai. It was awarded “leed India Gold” rating by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) recently. The
building design was conceptualized and implemented as per Green Building Concepts by Architect T. Bhattacharya, Architect M Shaju Bruno and the team of engineers and architects from MECON, Bangalore.
Training for counting votes at Dumka
Training programme for counting of civic poll votes concluded at Outdoor Stadium Dumka. The officials deputed for the counting were made aware of their responsibilities. As many as 14 tables will be placed in each counting room. Each table will be manned by three persons including one counting officer one supervisor and also one table assistant.
Workshop on Press Photography at RU today
RU Mass Communication department would organize a workshop on ‘Press Photography’ today divided in two technical sessions. On Tuesday, a special lecture on tackling mental stress as a media person was delivered by Art of living Expert Subhojit Adhikari to the students here which include large number of journalism working professionals. The session was managed by Department Director Sushil Ankan and faculty member Sudhir Kumar.
