Barely two weeks after a girl student who ended her life after faileing to secure good marks, another student of Bokaro killed himself after he failed to get admission for a plus two course in Science stream.
Dharmender Kumar Gupta (17), who passed the 10th standard (CBSE) with 84 per cent marks from Ayappa School Bokaro but failed to get admission in science stream elsewhere too. Depressed Dharmender ended his life by hanging himself from the roof of his relative house at sector1 C in Bokaro on Wednesday morning, police said.
His father Ram Narayan Gupta a fruit merchant at Bokaro, said “I was trying my best to get my son enrolled in science stream in other State even, but failed. Dharmeder’s relatives were out of town and Dharmender was residing and studying at their residence. “He was depressed and committed suicide, said Ramod Kumar Singh OC of City police station. “We also got suicidal note from the site”, added Singh.
