On the basis of a report received from Thyocare lab, 163 new cases found corona positive in Hazaribag on Wednesday.
The figure includes the one doctor and one employee of Sadar Hospital and maximum 83 from the town areas and 4 from Choparan, 7 Bishnugarh, 22 from Padma, 21 from Churchu and 26 from Barhi. The HMCH management has opened an enquiry counter near the registration counter for the result of sample reports.
Three patients have died during the treatment in HMCH on Sunday. Total number of deaths reached 12 in the district. Now the total number of active cases has reached 593, while 821 cases surfaced in the district till date. 290 patients have been discharged from the hospital after their recovery.
HMCH Superintendent Sanjay Sinha said that the HMCH management has decided to open enquiry center to know the result of samples collected by the health team in different blocks as well as different wards of the town areas.
The counter has started the work. He said that they will also show the results on the notice board also. The district administration has sealed 17 containment zones in the town. The health department has instructed all remote areas in charge to seal the area where any positive patients came to light.
The district administration has decided to start a new Covid-19 care center at Training institute Jabra. The DC directed the civil surgeon to provide all the medical facilities at the center. He has also directed the municipal council to depute the workers for the cleanliness of the center. The center will start the work from Thursday.
The Superintendent of HMCH appealed to the residents of Hazaribag town not to go out of residence without any essential work. He said that the daily increase in the number of positive patients is a matter of worry.
