All 15 booths of Manjhiaon Nagar Panchayat would be made model booths. Giving details of the upcoming civic polls, Garhwa Deputy Commissioner A Muthu Kumar said that there are 15 booths in Manjhiaon Nagar-panchayat. Out of 15, 12 booths have been identified as sensitive. Adequate forces would be deployed on the booths. All the booths would be made as model booths.
The DC informed that altogether 11,856 voters including 5401 female voters would exercise their votes on 15 booths on 26 May. As many as 10 candidates are in fray for the post of Chairman of Manjhiaon Nagar-panchayat while 52 candidates are in fray for the 12 ward members. Symbol has been allotted to the candidates.
On the day of voting, web telecast would be done from all the booths. According to model election code of conduct, section 144 of Cr.P.C. would be imposed around 1000 meter, on the day of voting, the DC added.
