Manager and Deputy Manager identified as G Kumar and Prashant Kumar respectively of the United bank of India Daltonganj branch, now merged with the PNB here, along with 11 others were remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday, said SP Palamu Chandan Kumar Sinha.
13 persons were sent to the central jail, Daltonganj, on charges of dishonesty and fraud and breach of trust by robbing locker holders of their precious contents in the lockers. It is the bank that is to safeguard the management of the lockers but in this branch the bankers played like any seasoned criminal, said Sinha.
The SP said police have retrieved 748 grams of gold content.
