PNS

Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that there is need to change the methods of skill development, polytechnic, ITI etc. he asked officials to start the short term course and give people jobs quickly. Prepare courses for six months to a year instead of two years of training.

The CM said that time is changing and the needs of the people are also changing. “Train people according to the needs of the market today. Give stress on practical compare to theory. Almost 70-80 per cent of courses should be taught in practical and rest in other theories,” he said while reviewing the preparations for the Global Skill Summit 2019.

Das said that there is a large number of infrastructure related work going on in the country. For all these things there is a great demand for masons, welders, electricians, plumbers etc. For the fulfillment of this demand, he asked to give them training in related areas. People will get instant employment and the ongoing development work in the country will be accelerated. Women of Jharkhand are also very active. The country knows the contribution of the ‘queen masons’ in the construction of toilets. Give training to women and also add them to employment.

The CM said that migration is the most important problem of Jharkhand. The most affected districts include Gumla, Simdega, Lohardaga etc. The girls from these districts have to work in other states for a small amount of money in the absence of work. They exploit them in every way. If we train them, they will get job and then the stigma of fleeing from the state will also disappear. Since the introduction of textile industry in the state, a large number of women have got jobs. In the same way many hospitals are opening and there is need of support staffs. We prepare the course according to its need and train the children so that they will get immediate employment.

Regarding the Global Skill Summit, the officials said that this summit on January 10 will give appointment letter to one lakh people. So far, more than 85,000 people have got jobs in the State.

The names of more than 52,000 people are known to the company and their offer letter has also been uploaded on the website.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary, Sudhir Tripathi, Development Commissioner, DK Tiwari, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Urban Development Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh, Higher Education Secretary, Rajesh Sharma and other senior officials.
