On Thursday morning a tragic road accident took place on NH33 near Mukundganj situated on the outskirts of Hazaribagh town. A Scorpio car coming from Jamshedpur dashed a youth named Ritesh Kumar Gupta, who was on his usual morning walk and then fell down in a ditch besides the NH33. In this accident the youth lost his life on the spot while four persons on board the Scorpio were seriously injured.
After the accident the villagers took out the injured from the vehicle and arranged for their transportation to Sadar hospital Hazaribagh. At the hospital the doctors immediately took care of the injured but since the injuries were severe so later all four were referred to RIMS Ranchi for better treatment.
In this vehicle the rural SP of Jamshedpur Prabhat Kumar was traveling with his wife, two bodyguards and a driver. In this accident SP and his wife got injured with their bodyguard and driver. One bodyguard, who was on back seat was not seriously injured so he was released by the doctors in the evening after treatment.
As per Hazaribagh police rural SP of Jamshedpur was going to Bihar for his personal works with his two bodyguards. In the morning when there was less traffic on NH33 the vehicle was in full speed and near Mukundganj turning driver Sona Ram lost his control over the vehicle. The vehicle first dashed Ritesh, who is the son of Sahdev Gupta, manager of Satyam Steel Bokaro, and then turtle down.
