‘State Government making false claim on Sarna Code’

Mrituanjay Kumar

The State Congress on Sunday alleged that it has become habit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led State government to make false promises. The party has demanded that if the government has taken any step on Sarna code issue then it should show evidence of its initiative.

Speaking on the claim of State government that it has taken initiatives to implement Sarna code, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) president Ajoy Kumar said that if at all the State government has taken an initiative towards implementation of the code then it should produce documentary evidence substantiating its claim.

“In political rivalry the State government started lying. If government shows any evidence in confirmation of its claim then we will apologise to them. But if they fail to substantiate their claims, they should admit that they lied,” said Kumar.

Terming BJP as ‘Bharatiya Jhoota Party’, Kumar said that all the leaders of the party are treading the path of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking on ‘Nyay’ scheme, Kumar said that Indian National Congress president Rahul Gandhi has given a letter to 9,70,000 people by name to deliver yearly Rs.72, 000 in their account if voted to power.

“According to the data collected by the party, around 60 lakh people will directly benefit through the scheme. Among the beneficiaries, 90 per cent of total population of the tribal community, 90 per cent of total population of schedule cast, 70 per cent of minority community and 35 per cent of general class are covered. It is expected that Rs 76200 crore will be in circulation in the State. Through this scheme not only the poor families but small businessmen will also get big benefits. On an average, around Rs 300 to Rs. 350 core will be in circulation in a month in the State,” said Kumar.

The scheme will change the local economy of the country and the State, he added

Rahul Gandhi will visit Jharkhand on May 2 to address public meeting in Simdega and another programme is also in pipeline but date has not been decided yet, said Kumar. Another star campaigner former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, film star Satrughan Sinha will start their campaigning in the State in a day or two.

When asked that the PM will visit the State again, Kumar replied that it will be

beneficial for the Congress and its alliance because Modi doesn’t have any issue and agenda, he only speaks the language of hatred.

“In this election the PM is not speaking on black money, jobs to youths, corruption, inflation because he has failed on these issues in last five years,” he added.
