The trust with which people of Chhattisgarh have put the reins of the State’s development in the hands of BJP for the last 10 years, we will not belie it ever, said Chief Minister Raman Singh and added that given the chance for third term in succession, we will ensure that the State grows five time more to lead even the developed States.

Addressing a mammoth public meeting-cum-workers convention at Bhanupratappur in Kanker district on Sunday, the Chief Minister called on workers to work devotedly towards making BJP Government third time in the State and urged people of this remote district to give their mandate to the BJP candidate, Satish lathia.

launching a scathing attack on Congress, Singh said that the party ruling at the Centre only makes promises of controlling the raging inflation within 100 days and was unable to do so even after four and half years of its second term. “Due to its wrong economic policies not only the prices of petroleum products but also of essential items like onion has gone up many fold,” he said.

On the other hand, the BJP Government in its 10 years rule in Chhattisgarh has not only achieved many-fold development what the Congress Government could not do in 65 years. Chhattisgarh Food Security Act bringing almost 46 lakh family under the subsidised food umbrella, healthcare for all through Smart Card, agricultural loan on just one per cent interest rate for farmers, free power for irrigation pumps, procurement of paddy on minimum support price, Rs 270 per quintal bonus on paddy, implementation of welfare schemes for poor workers and tribal populace engaged in Bidi Patta collection are the testimonials of our efforts on public welfare. It is the trust and affection of the people that we have been able to put the development of the state on fast track and now are able to feed rice to seven States of the country, the Chief Minister added.

Terming the current Assembly elections in five States as semi-final for Mission 2014, Singh said that eye of the entire country was set on these elections having the potential to change the fate of the country. He asked the people to give their mandate overwhelmingly to BJP candidate Satish latiya.

On this occasion sitting MlA Brahmanand Netam, local Member of Parliament Sohan Potai and party candidate lathia also addressed the meeting.
