With the beginning of monsoon the farmers have started sowing of paddy crops. Sowing has been started in about 125 hectare areas. Besides paddy, soyabean, udad and arhar are also being sown.
Due to summer fury water level in the handpumps has been gone down in the Gayanagar, Urla, Borsi and Potia areas of the city, but with the early rainfall the water level has been increased in them.
