A voter awareness rally will be taken out in Jagdalpur city on Tuesday. According to District Panchayat CEO Kl Chouhan, a mega rally would be taken out from the Collectorate premises at 11 am.
Officers and employees of all the government departments and citizens have been appealed to participate in the rally, which will wend through Maharani hospital, Sanjay Market, Sirhasar Chowk and culminate on the Collectorate premises.
On the Collectorate premises, Bastar Collector Ankit Anand will administer pledge to all the participant citizens for impartial and fearless voting. He said that voters should exercise their right to vote with wisdom, not based on caste or religion, but keeping in mind the work of the candidate. Voters have strength in their hands and they should vote for the right candidate, he added.
The Collector said that success of democracy was possible only with an aware electorate. The vote of each person is priceless. Each voter should find time for exercising his right to vote. The identity of an aware society is made with cent per cent voting. Voters should cast their votes fearlessly, and keep themselves from any kind of enticement, because those who seek vote by wooing the voters would promote corruption, he said.
