Congress candidate from Raipur West Assembly constituency Vikas Upadhyay on Sunday started his public contact programme from Ramkund, Choubey colony and Samata colony.
Corporator of the ward and senior Youth Congress leader Pramod Dubey, reaching door-to-door, has appealed to each person to vote in favour of Upadhyay. Vikas Upadhyay assured the voters that he would never let their trust to breach. Upadhyay, along with Pramod Dubey and his supporters visited house-to-house in the colonies and sought their support. Voters in thousands, assuring their support, have ensured easy victory of Vikas Upadhyay.
Upadhyay promised the people that after winning the election he would give a new look of development of the whole constituency. Priority will be given for clean water, electricity and sanitation to the people of the area. At Ramkund, Upadhyay cautioned people not to bow down before the money power of other candidates at any cost, as, by doing so, they would again push backward the area for five more years.
During the public contact programme, block president of Purani Basti Rajesh Thakur has appealed to the people to make Upadhyay victorious. later, the Congress candidate met colony residents at Kota and sought their support.
