The ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’ Victory Flame -- marking India's victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war against Pakistan -- will touch Chhattisgarh in Kawardha and Bemetara on Tuesday. Events will be organized at the Bemetara Town Hall.
To maintain law and order and security, Bemetara District Magistrate Vilas Bhoskar Sandipan on Monday imposed prohibitory orders during the torch rally.
Since four Victory Mashaals (Flames) were lit from the ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ in New Delhi, they were taken in four directions to cover the length and breadth of the entire nation where various memorial events are being held.
The flame will reach Raipur on October 13. The key function will be held at Raj Bhavan where Chhattisgarh Governor will receive the Victory Flame. The 1971 War Veterans will be felicitated.
