nUnion minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot took a dig at the Congress for the paty-led governments in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh seeking assistances from the Centre.
He said the Congress registered victory in the assembly elections in these two states based on promises they made to the people and now chief minister of both the states are writing letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking assistances.
Gehlot was interacting with media after launching the BJP’s membership drive in Chhattisgarh on Saturday at Shahid Smarak Bhawan.
He said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will erase the existence of Congress.

On the party’s membership drive, he added BJP targets to add 20 percent more members. The party is introducing missed call system for enrolling members. “It will also provide chance for Congress party workers to join the party,” Gehlot said.
The Congress strongly reacting to the Union minister Thawar Chand Gehlot’s statement on its leader Rahul Gandhi said, “Rahul Gandhi is an honest and realistic leader, who works to save communal harmony, fights for poor and for rights of all. The country needs leaders like him.” In a statement, Congress party said BJP leadership relies on lies and creates sense of enmity.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had written letters to Prime Minister to highlight injustices being meted out to the state.
The party also criticised BJP’s membership drive, adding the saffron party faced the harsh reality in the 2018 assembly elections in the state.
