Two Maoist insurgents were arrested on Saturday from Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, police said.
The ultras were identified as Mangesh alias Hurra Majji (43) and Majji Chinna (38). They were held from Rengawaya village under Bedre police station limits, over 450 kilometres from state capital Raipur.
Security personnel were out on a search-cum-area domination operation in the forests of Waynar, Kodepalli and Rengawaya villages in Bedre when they received a tip-off on the presence of the two Maoists in the area.
Both the Maoists were wanted in cases of murder, loot and had been absconding since 2007.
