The Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Sunday nabbed two youths and claimed of solving the double murder mystery of youths whose bodies were found near Boria Khurd pond near the city on Saturday morning. The accused were held within 24 hours of the occurrence of crime who had executed the murder to settle some old dispute, Superintendent of Police (SP), OP Pal informed on Sunday.
The accused were identified as Sunil Nishad (21) and Vinay alias Babu (25) both residents of Kali Nagar lalpur under the limits of Tikarapara police station. The victims Ajay Deep and Harish Rajora were friends of the accused duo. A few days back, four of them were sitting in the house of a common friend Dhanesh. Suddenly Dhansesh’s mobile went missing. Ajay and Harish alleged that Sunil had stolen the mobile, the SP said.
According to the accused Sunil, the victims duo started to make call to the accused from different numbers identifying themselves as police personnel inquiring about mobile phone. The duo were also about to register complaint in this connection with police station against Sunil, he said. Meanwhile, Sunil’s bicycle was stolen from his house and according to Sunil, Ajay and Harish were behind the theft. In order to settle the score, the accused duo hatched a plan and called the victims near Boria Khurd on the intervening night of Friday and Sunday. After consuming liquor, they killed Ajay and Harish, he said.
