Two hardcore Maoists carrying cash rewards on their heads have surrendered before the 212th Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at the Kondagaon district headquarters here on Thursday.
The insurgents Nagaru Korram (40) of village Timarugaon under Mardapal police station limits was carrying a reward of Rs 2,000 and Bajnu Korram (24) of Timarugaon was carrying reward of Rs 1,000 on his head, officials informed.
Both the insurgents used to work as an Jan Militia members . The Jagdalpur DIG K K Sinha, Kondagaon Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Meena besides 212th CRPF Battalion Commandant A K Singh and 188th CRPF Battalion Commandant Helal Firoz, were present during the surrender by insurgents.
