CHD pertains to holes in the heart or problems in the anatomy of the heart from birth. These may be simple or complex.
The symptoms of CHD are breathlessness, gasping, difficulty while breast-feeding, less weight compared to age and lip, nails, skin turning blue.
On the first day, 25 children in the age-group of 11 months to 18 years were identified from the remote areas of Darbha, Jagdalpur, Bakaband and Lokapal. Paediatric cardiologists at the Sanjeevani Hospital were consulted for these children via telemedicine.
