In a first, Chhattisgarh Police arrested two couples for rash driving and                obscenity.

The arrests happened after a video went viral on social media showing a girl seated facing the driver of a motorcycle and speeding on the streets.

The police on Monday identified those arrested as Javed Ali, his friend Uday Singh and two girls in their 20s, all from Bhilai city.

They were charged under the Indian Penal Code for rash driving and obscenity, a police officer said.

Ali was riding a sports bike while Singh was on scooter. Ali and Singh were arrested after the girls named them.

Ali told the police that he bought the stolen bike from a Rajnandgaon man for Rs 9,000 and removed its             registration number. The boys are in police custody. The girls were released on bail on Sunday night.
