Two persons were sentenced imprisonment of 20 years each for their involvement in gang rape by a local court on Monday. The accused had committed the crime in month of January this year, sources said.
According to information received Birbal Netam (28) and Rohit Sahu (25) both residents of Nagjhar village under Rajim police station were awarded the punishment. Both the convicts on January 11, 2013 had raped the victim woman a resident of Barethin Kona village. The victim used to ran a shop in the village. On January 11, was going to purchase some items for the shop on foot. The accused stopped the victim near the village and forcibly took to an isolated area and raped the victim, sources said.
