Two youths were arrested from Ruabandha sector with valuables worth Rs2.50 lakh following a tip off while they were trying to find buyers for the stolen items, police said here on Friday.
According to the police, the accused were identified as Akash alias Adarsh Dubey (20) resident of Ruabandha Sector and Anajan Pal Singh (19) resident of Sector-4, Bhilai.
Police informed that Anajan Pal Singh was first arrested while he was trying to find a buyer for the stolen ornaments and lCD TV sets.
They had sneaked into a house located in Maitri Kunj in the month of May this year. The duo had made away with gold silver ornaments, two lED TV sets, digital camera and other items. A case in this connection was registered with Nevai police station.
The stolen goods and ornaments were sized on instance of the accused. They have been booked under Section 457 (house trespassing) 380 (theft in dwelling house), police maintained.
