To ensure that people don't stand in queues or make multiple visits to transport offices, the "Tuhar Sarkar Tuhar Dwaar" facility is being implemented by the Transport Department for doorstep delivery of transport related services.
An official communication on Friday said more than 16.12 lakh smart card-based registration certificates and driving licenses have been delivered to applicants since June 2021.
This includes 10.98 lakh smart card registration certificates and 5.15 lakh driving licenses.
Continuous monitoring of the scheme is done by Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar.
Under this, 22 transport-related services are provided to people.
A Helpline number 75808-08030 has been issued to make the service more accessible. It is available from 10 am to 5.30 pm on all working days.
On an average, 100 calls areg received per day seeking information.
