Treat patients as your family members: Collector to docs

Staff Reporter

Collector  Bhim Singh, in a meeting held here asked all the Government doctors, technicians, pharmacists, staff nurses, ward boys and Class IV staff posted in the District Hospital to treat patients and their family members like their own family members.

He said that in case of complaints of misbehaviour with patients, strict action would be taken against the doctor as well as staff concerned.

The meeting was held in the District Hospital’s  Out  Patient Department (OPD),  where the Collector asked all doctors and staff nurses to be present on duty on time.

Emergency cases should be dealt with top priority , he said. Singh said that many complaints have been received that without providing necessary  treatment, cases were referred to Raipur, which should be avoided and only critical cases should be referred to Raipur.

He expected best services from the doctors so that the Government hospitals could be  equally best like private hospitals.

Singh asked the Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr BK Sahu to depute an In-charge to look after the cleaning and maintenance of toilets and rooms.

He asked to pay attention for providing best health services and for beautification of  hospital.

After the meeting, the Collector inspected the under construction building at Civil  lines for the hospital staff and instructed the agency concerned for maintaining quality of construction.
