Water crisis has started looming on a large scale in the vast rural pockets of the district with the advancement of the summer season. As a consequence, the district administration, in a bid to get over the problem, has decided to dig at least 16,000 borewells in the rural areas of the district. The district administration has also decided to install fillers in and around Kandokasa, where polluted water has been found.
It is learnt that the State Government has sanctioned Rs 20 crore for preparing special water plan for all such villages where polluted water is found.
