A joint team of CRPF and District Force detected and defused a 15-kg Tiffin bomb planted on an approach road to CRPF camp in
the insurgency-hit Kondagaon district, police said on Friday.
We had received information that a tiffin bomb was planted by Maoists on the approach road to CRPF camp in Golavand. Accordingly, a team of 212th battalion of CRPF and District Force started a de-mining exercise, a police official informed.
While carrying out checking between Golavand and Dholmundri village, a 10-kg tiffin bomb was detected along with detonator and wire of about 20 meters.
The bomb was defused by bomb disposal squad, police said, adding, a major mishap was averted due to alertness of security forces.
