Polling for the three-tier panchayat byelection in Chhattisgarh will be held on June 28 for three posts of Janpad Panchayat members, 62 of Sarpanch and 52 Panch.
The Chhattisgarh State Election Commission said after the withdrawal of nomination papers that the election will take place from 7.00 am to 3.00 pm.
Nine candidates for three posts of Janpad Panchayat member, 206 candidates for 62 Sarpanch posts and 114 candidates for 52 Panch posts are in the fray.
After the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers, only one candidate each for three Janpad Panchayat members, 22 Sarpanch and 406 Panch remained. They will be declared elected unopposed.
