The alliance of Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) (JCC) (J)-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Communist Party of India (CPI), which has emerged as a third force in the State would benefit the Congress party more, said Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Assembly T.S. Singhdeo.
He was speaking to media persons here while campaigning for the party candidate.
Citing survey reports and perspectives of people of the State, Singhdeo further claimed that the Congress was getting majority and was going to form Government after the election.
Commenting on Naxal menace in the region, Singhdeo said in his view, talks are the best alternative but if they didn’t work stern action should definitely be taken.
He further said that ruling BJP Government had sent to jail innocent tribals while terming them as Maoists. These innocent people would be released by Congress if it comes to power in the state, Singhdeo said.
Replying to query about Congress legislator Renu Jogi contesting the polls, Singhdeo said that she herself was indecisive over the issue. "Her son is in one party, daughter-in-law in other and herself in Congress. All such circumstances had confused us", he said.
Regarding allotment of party ticket, he further said it was decided by the party's Election Committee whose decision is final and is acceptable to all.
