In an amended order issued by the School Education Department on Thursday, the summer vacation is also being extended to all government teachers in Chhattisgarh from April 24.
The order states during the summer vacation, the training of teachers and administrative activities of the schools will continue as usual.
On Wednesday, due to the prevailing heat wave sweeping Chhattisgarh, all government and private schools' summer vacation was announced from April 24.
The schools will reopen for the next academic session on June 15. The order had stated that for students undergoing assessment it had to be completed till April 25.
