Chhattisgarh Excise Department Secretary R. Sangeeta stressed on Tuesday the need for strict regulations on the sale of adulterated and illegal liquor as well as the sale of liquor at higher rates.
She said this at a meeting with security and manpower agencies in Raipur.
Officers were directed to blacklist and cancel the contract of the agencies not following the department’s guidelines.
She gave them strict instructions to maintain the stock register and to keep the surveillance equipment always operational.
She also told liquor shop employees to closely follow the department’s instructions.
She warned them that any employee found ignoring the instructions would be blacklisted and terminated.
Officials were directed to immediately recover all the pending dues, verify the employees of liquor shops and take strict action against blacklisted and unauthorized employees.
