Three witnesses on Saturday recorded their statements before a panel of special judicial inquiry commission to probe into the killing of BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi in a Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh's Bastar in April 2019.
The Secretary of the Commission, Arvind Ekka, said statements of Suman Prabha Yadav, Arjun Bhaskar and Anil George were recorded before the head of the judicial panel, retired Justice Satish Kumar Agnihotri, a press release said.
The Chhattisgarh government set up the panel to investigate the killing of Mandavi and four security personnel in a Naxalite attack in Dantewada’s Shyamgiri area.
They were killed on April 9, 2019 in an IED explosion while returning in their bullet-proof SUV after electioneering for the Bastar Lok Sabha seat.
