SR

In order to provide right and timely information about land records to the farmers, the Chhattisgarh Government has decided to computerise revenue records of all 19,778 villages of the State.

Computerisation of land records, Khasra and B-1 of 54,56,454 account holders of all tehsils of the State has been done. Updating of drawings had been done as per the Khasra B-1 of all villages’ Naksha (map) sheets. Copy of Khasra B-1 is being provided through computer in all districts, officials informed.

On demand of account holders, copy of computerised land records like 16,24,173 Khasra, 20,56,231 B-1 and 3,21,969 drawings have been given in the State.

From September 1, 2014, copy of all land records will be issued through computer only. All land records are being made online. As Revenue administration is a public-related issue, disposal of different issues related to land, including transfer, partition and delimitation are done at Revenue courts. The State Government has set time-limit for these works and brought them under the limit of the Public Services Guarantee Act, officials stated.

The State Government has issued directives to collectors of all districts to keep all old land records of the State safe in electronic form after their digitalisation. Bhuiyan programme has been started for computerisation of land records and for that computer has been issued to patwaris in tehsils. Registrar offices have also been computerised.

With the sale of land, coordinating with the Registrar and the Tehsil offices, system of registration and transfer of name will be brought under the computerisation scheme.

This will ensure transparency and arrangement of immediate disposal. This programme has now been started in 17 districts of the state and will be implemented in the remaining 10 districts soon.

As per the directives issued by Chief Minister Raman Singh on June 5, 2008 for the implementation of the Recognition of Forest Rights Act 2007 for tribal and other traditional forest dwellers, 3,161 survey teams have been formed in the State and forest rights letters have been issued to over 3-lakh tribal and 4,890 other traditional forest dwellers.

To provide all facilities equal to that of revenue villages to these forest dwellers, the State government has declared about 425 forest villages as revenue villages. The land Revenue Department has launched regulation rectification programme in 17 districts of the State. Based on the case registered under the programme, disposal process is going on.

The State Government, for the formation of small administrative units, has launched a rationalisation campaign for districts.

Two new districts have been formed in 2007 and nine in January 2012.

At present, reorganisation of new tehsils and development blocks is being done. Now, Chhattisgarh has five revenue division and 27 districts.
