Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Tribes Commission Chairperson G.R.Rana on Saturday reviewed the developmental activities of Scheduled Caste and Tribal Welfare Department here.
Special Backward Caste groups include-- Kamar, Bhujiya, Baiga, Pahadi Korwa, Pando and Abhujmadiya.
Rana said that special Authority had been constituted to monitor the development works concerning the depressed sections of the society. Budget had been allocated for the socio-economic and educational development for the past 39 years.
The State Government is keen on providing basic facilities such as education, health, employment. There is a need to work with renewed sensitivity on the development needs of the tribals, Rana said.
