Under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Rifle Association (CPRA), a State-level shooting championship began here at Mana-based 4th battalion on Wednesday.
The 14th state-level shooting competition sponsored by Jindal Steel and Power limited (JSPl) was inaugurated by Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Bhaiyalal Rajwade.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the championship, Rajwade highlighted the importance of sport in life of individual and also encourage participants to perform well. Meanwhile, he also appreciated the efforts of the Association for hosting such competitions for promoting shooting. Brigadier Ratan lal Dangi has registered his presence during the inauguration of competition as special invitee. As per information received, players selected during the championship will be representing the State in All India G V Mavalankar scheduled to be held in Asansol, West Bengal from October 28, 2015 to November 8, 2015.
