Collector Ritu Sen has directed officials to start preparing for the paddy procurement exercise from December 1 to January 31.
Sen has directed the officials to distribute the tokens to the farmers on the basis of which the paddy purchasing will be conducted. Chairing a meeting with the Directors of the Rice Mills and officials engaged in the paddy procurement work, Sen directed to arrange for gunny bags before the commencement of the paddy procurement exercise.
She also directed to publicise the paddy procurement exercise to enable the maximum farmers to sell their paddy.District Food Officer G S Rathore besides Civil Supplies Corporation, MARKFED officials were present in the meeting.
