State BJP chief and Home Minister Ramsevak Paikra on Sunday urged the workers to get prepared themselves immediately for the upcoming lok Sabha elections to produce outstanding results in all the 11 seats in the State.

“We have already registered a win in the Assembly polls and now a victory in the lok Sabha polls must be ensured,” Paikra said while addressing the party’s office bearers in a State-level meeting at the party’s State headquarters ‘Ekatm Parisar’ here which was attended by all the senior State-level party leaders.

Pairka said that the party faced reverses in the tribal stronghold Surguja and Bastar regions during the Assembly polls but despite the defeat in the two key regions, the party managed to retain power in the 90-member State legislative Assembly elections. “In last lok Sabha polls held in year 2009,  the party won 10 lok Sabha seats and this time we must win all the 11 seats in the State,” the BJP state chief remarked in his lengthy speech, adding, “We need to work towards making Narendra Modi, the next Prime Minister of the country.”

While we take the pledge to work towards making Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of the country, we have to reach every region of Chhattisgarh and take the welfare policies of the BJP Government to the people, he said. “This is all due to your (party workers) hard work due to which the BJP could secure a hat-trick win in the Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh,” Paikra said.

Speaking on the occasion, State BJP general secretary (organisation) Rampratap Singh said that they could connect the people of the country through the ‘Statue of Unity’ of late Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to be built in Gujarat. He said the party’s women’s wing had provided top priority to the dignity of women in their campaign which has to be taken forward unitedly by all party workers.

Similarly, the BJP’s Youth Wing would run programmes such as the ‘Yuva Mitra Abhiyan’, School Chale Hum’ besides helping in increasing the number of youth voters from the colleges. All the wings of the party can help motivate the people to vote. State BJP spokesperson Sachchidanand Upasane said that a committee had already been formed to collect iron for the statue of late Patel. The workers have now got the opportunity to visit every village to collect the iron from farmers before the lok Sabha polls in the State, he said.

Upasane said that iron and mud would have to be collected from each village in the State. As per of the programme, there would be speech competitions organised in the schools and colleges for which full co-operation needs to be offered by the workers in the conduct of the programme.
