The office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Chhattisgarh will begin a special brief revision work of photo-electoral rolls from November 16 following a directive of the Election Commission, it was announced on Sunday.
CEO Dr Reena Baba Saheb Kangale said the drive aims at revising the electoral rolls as on January 1, 2021. The final publication of the voter list will be done on January 15, a press released quoted her as saying.
Under the drive, new voters can add their names in the rolls.
The detailed electoral roll was published on November 16 and the period for filing claims and objections will be from November 16 to December 15. The publication of the revised photo electoral roll is scheduled after revision work. New names can be added until January 15, the release said.
